This is a small, plain-language policy for a small website. It describes what this site actually does, and nothing it does not.
Who we are
Golden Pines Senior Living operates two licensed adult foster care homes in Troy, Michigan. Our website is https://goldenpines.net. You can reach us at (248) 266-2738 or [email protected].
The only information we collect
This site collects personal information in exactly one place: the form on our contact page. If you fill it in, you send us your name, your email address, and optionally your phone number, your relationship to the person you are asking about, and whatever you write in the message box.
That message often contains sensitive details about a family member's health or circumstances, because that is the nature of the question people are writing to ask. We treat it accordingly. Please share only what you are comfortable sending by email, and call us instead if you would rather not put something in writing.
If you email us or call us directly, we have whatever you chose to tell us. That is not different from any other business.
How the form works, and who else sees it
The form is handled by a third-party service called FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which receives your submission and forwards it to our email inbox. That means your message passes through FormSubmit's systems on its way to us, and is subject to their handling as well as ours. FormSubmit also runs a spam check on submissions.
Once it arrives, your message lives in our email like any other message from a prospective family, and it stays there unless you ask us to delete it.
What this site does not do
We think the absences matter as much as the disclosures, so here they are plainly. This website:
- sets no cookies of its own
- runs no analytics and no visitor tracking
- has no advertising and no advertising trackers
- has no accounts, no logins, and no comments
- loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or embedded content
- does not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing
The site is a set of static pages. There is nothing running in your browser that is watching you.
The one outbound link to another company is our Facebook page, in the footer and on the contact page. It is an ordinary link. Following it takes you to Facebook, where Facebook's own policies apply, but simply loading our pages sends nothing to them.
Our web host
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like essentially every web host, Cloudflare processes the technical requests needed to deliver a page to your browser, which involves your IP address. We do not have an analytics dashboard built on that and we do not use it to identify anyone.
Asking us to delete your information
Email [email protected] or call (248) 266-2738 and ask, and we will delete the messages we hold from you. You do not need a reason and you do not need to explain yourself.
